What is Chiragh.org?
We are a not-for-profit children’s charity organization originated in Texas, USA with local representation in London, Canada.  Our mission goes well beyond our city: We help children and youth around the world break free from poverty, obtain education and health related services. Through a proven approach, partnering with Global partner children’s charities (Humanity First, Chidfund International and Plan Canada) we are helping children in three continents.  We are working to give children the tools to grow up healthy, educated, and empowered to break the cycle of poverty.

How did you get started (and when)?

Our organization started in 2021, I was originally dedicated to supporting orphan children and providing outreach to widows and orphans. Today, we serve 18 orphans.

What’s your goal?

To help end global poverty. Currently our short-term goal is raising funds to open an orphanage in Africa.

Our long-term goal is that every child has enough education to be ready for employment and empowered to break the cycle of poverty.

Are you a religious and/or political organization?

No, our supporters, volunteers, staff, children and their families span all beliefs and backgrounds. And we all share the same goal: Children’s education and end poverty.

Who works at your organization?

We have about four amazing volunteers here in North America and partner charity network around the Globe to execute our strategy to educate children.
